Amgen Tour of California (May) is a Tour de France-style cycling road race that challenges the world’s top professional cycling teams to compete along staged courses throughout the State of California.

Annual Rides & Races

Death Ride - (July - Markleeville CA) "The Death Ride" aka "Tour of the California Alps" covers 129 miles and includes the traditional five mountain passes. This super challenging course includes climbing both sides of Monitor Pass (8,314 feet), both sides of Ebbetts Pass (8,730 feet), and the final climb up the east side of Carson Pass (8580 feet).
Fiesta Metric Century (June - San Diego CA) -  100 Km paved recreational cycling event. Optional distances of 20, 45, and 62 miles. Fiesta Mexican Buffet at the finish line.
Great Western Bicycle Rally (Memorial Weekend - Paseo Robles) - A great family event for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The Great Western Bicycle Rally (GWBR) is a 47-year old event located in Paso Robles, California, and takes place on every Memorial Day Weekend. The Rally is held at the San Luis Obispo County Fairgrounds (Paso Robles Event Center) located in Paso Robles, California. Participants may tent camp or RV camp at the Fairgrounds or stay in hotels. Paso Robles countryside is one of the premier areas in California to ride bicycles because of the variety of roads and scenery available for Rally riders to enjoy. Every year can be a different experience for riders because there are such a variety of routes.
Rosarito Ensenada (May, San Diego) - Although this ride is officially in Mexico, it is considered a San Diego event. Transportation from San Diego to Rosita where the ride begins is provided if needed. The 50 mile course is entirely paved, heading south on the old Free Road from Rosarito Beach to the city of Ensenada. Party at the legendary Finish Line Fiesta with food from Ensenada's finest restaurants; Corona beer; sodas from Coca Cola; great prices on T-shirts, posters and other souvenirs; massages; clean restrooms; secure bike storage; and live rock-n-roll until sunset on Ensenada's beautiful waterfront.
Sea Otter Classic (April - Monterey) The Sea Otter Classic offers international racing, beginner through professional. Race categories include Super Downhill, Cross Country, Road Race, Road Tour and MTB Tour. The event also hosts a Consumer Expo and Trade Fair.
Solvang Century & Half Century (March - Solvang) 50 and 100 mile courses. The 50-mile course is an out-and-back ride from Solvang through Buellton to Lompoc with the 100-mile loop including Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Maria, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Lompoc and Buellton. The event also includes a Cycling Festival and Barbeque lunch.
Tour de Cure (May - San Diego) Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 43 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist.
Tour de  Palm Springs (February - Palm Springs) Optional events include a 5, 10, 25, 55 and 100 mile routes through Palm Springs and surrounding areas followed by iive entertainment.
Tour de Sewer (March - Bell Gardens) 15, 30 or 62 mile Fun Bike Ride. Barbecue lunch is provided.
